2011 Harbour Cruise

Twenty-two "would-be sailors" took to the warm and wind swept waters of Charlottetown Harbour, accompanied by two other more seasoned veterans (of the sea)! Captain Roy Coffin, formerly of Marine Atlantic, skippered the "Fairview" to the mouth of the harbour and back again. Fortunately, no shots were fired as we passed by Fort Amherst. We enjoyed fresh Island mussels and some even tasted some wine. Returning safely to port, the Captain dodged our way through yacht club race night amidst spinnakers and flying jibs. Finally reaching solid ground, we mustered all our strength for a wonderful dinner at Peakes Quay Restaurant. Another great summer evening was had by all.
Thanks to the Social Committee (Phil Pitts and Lorne MacKinnon) and the Event Organizer (Paul Stetson) for a wonderful evening.
